The sea wall was rebuilt, and new, enclosed porches were added to replace the open air porches demolished by Able.
Milford continued to be a delightful home, enjoyed by friends and family. The enclosed porches actually made it more spacious.
Never again, however, was its continued existence taken for granted. In fact, on two other occasions the sea wall had to be replaced because of hurricane damage, although the house was never close to the total destruction it had barely escaped from Able.| previous << | >> next |
